Family and Partner Migration

Being separated from your partner and family members can be a frustrating experience. Australia has a number of visas available to enable an Australian (or an Australian Permanent Resident) to sponsor partner, child and family member.

The family and partner migration schemes allow eligible persons to sponsor their partner or family members to join them in Australia on a temporary or permanent basis.

Both the sponsor and applicant will need to meet the eligibility criteria which varies depending on the type of visa one qualifies for.
